Liverpool is preparing for a major new attraction celebrating the music and legacy of The Beatles, with an expanded immersive experience scheduled to open in 2028.

Apple Corps and The Beatles Story have announced plans to relocate the popular museum from Albert Dock to the former St John’s Market. The new 100,000-square-foot venue will be more than four times the size of the current attraction.

The experience will combine original Beatles memorabilia, interactive exhibits, and recreations of famous locations connected to the band’s career, including the Cavern Club, Abbey Road Studios, and Shea Stadium.

Visitors will also encounter sets and props associated with director Sam Mendes’ upcoming four-part Beatles film project.

Another part of the development involves transforming Liverpool’s St Johns Beacon into a Yellow Submarine-themed attraction, complete with panoramic city views.

Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr have expressed support for the project.

The expansion will also benefit Liverpool’s music community, with a portion of ticket proceeds supporting emerging local artists through the Apple Corps Liverpool Trust.
